1st Concretisation Of The Collaboration Between The PSA Group And Huawei
PSA Group and Huawei unveil their first connected vehicle
- DS 7 CROSSBACK is the first PSA Group vehicle using the IoT platform called CVMP “Connected Vehicle Modular Platform” and equipped with Huawei technology to benefit from new connected services
- This is the first implementation of the collaboration between Huawei and the PSA Group announced in November 2017 and targeting all of the Group’s connected vehicles.
PSA Group deploys its CVMP platform “Connected Vehicle Modular Platform” for its connected vehicles. CVMP relies on Huawei’s IoT platform, OceanConnect.
Customers can access new services such as connected navigation, voice recognition in “natural language” and a connected service portal from the vehicle’s onboard screen. The vehicle maintenance status, as well as the history of the journeys and the driving modes, are also accessible from the smartphone of the customers.
These features will be regularly supplemented by new services for private customers and fleet managers. These include entertainment info services, remote software updates, and navigation mapping, a personal assistant, remote vehicle diagnostic and maintenance functions, or services that are useful for rental companies, fleet managers and car-pool operators.

Huawei’s IoT OceanConnect platform builds on Huawei’s connected car solution. This solution contributes to the development of the connected car, the home, and the smart city to benefit from a range of services that make everyday life easier.
All digital interactions between the car and the cloud are secure; customer and car data are encrypted and the integrity, authenticity, and confidentiality of this data are guaranteed. The Huawei IoT platform will be used for all PSA Group connected vehicles in all regions where these vehicles will be marketed.
Jean Leflour, PS Connected Vehicle & Services Architecture Strategy, PSA Group says: “By deploying its new platform that connects the vehicle to the world of the Internet of Things, the PSA Group enriches its service offering and facilitates mobility for all his clients. Today alongside Huawei, recognized for its capacity for innovation, we are pleased to show the first realization of our partnership and offer a new experience to our customers through the CVMP platform. DS 7 CROSSBACK is the first vehicle to benefit from this joint work, which aims to be deployed on all Group vehicles. ”
DS 7 CROSSBACK launched in March 2018 is the first 2nd generation vehicle of the DS brand that embodies the French know-how of luxury and high technology. Already equipped with many functions of driving aids, a new hybrid version E-Tense petrol 4 × 4 300 hp will follow in 2019, marking the PSA Group and DS brand electric offensive.
Leon He, Director of Huawei’s Automotive Division, adds, “For the automotive industry, the secret to successful digital transformation is building a platform in the cloud. It brings together manufacturers, ecosystem developers, and application partners to jointly market products and services around the world and provide personalized mobility services to car owners and motorists. “Tags: Huawei
